TEAC - CR250

Symptoms - when power on, clicking sounds, no life.

Diagnosis - Click sound was the relay engaging the power to the transformer. Testing showed that there was no output voltage. On internal examination found that the internal fuse had blown.

Repair - After contacting the customer was given the go ahead, due to parts not available any more this unit. Not ethical, repaired the open circuit, passing through a strand of wire through the transformer and soldering out the fuse hence closing the open.

Results - Unit working perfectly, customer will have to keep an eye on the temperature when using, should be fine.
